Art at the Edge of Nature (UCM, 21–22 May 2026)
Antía Iglesias Fernández, a member of EcoBD Lab and of the Dx5 and AF4 teams at the Universidad de Vigo, is organising — in collaboration with SCIART-UCM and GIPAFCoCo-UCM — the 4th edition of Art at the Edge of Nature, taking place on 21 and 22 May 2026 at the Sala La Trasera of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
This edition focuses on biocreative responsibilities and awareness, bringing together interdisciplinary creator-researchers to share projects, perspectives and experiences that blur the boundaries between disciplines, with the aim of rethinking, integrating and adding complexity to the notion of "nature".
As well as featuring invited speakers, this edition opens up a space for specialised PhD candidates to present their research, encouraging dialogue between different stages of the research-creative career. Among them, our colleague Miguel Trigo Morán will take part in the round table "Prospecciones de cohabitación", where he will share his doctoral work. The event is free and open to the public, with no prior registration required.
