Our commitment
EcoBD Lab wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of their abilities or the technology they use. We work to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as a voluntary commitment of this research group.
Measures we have implemented
- Full keyboard navigation, including the main menu, dropdowns and links within content cards.
- Semantic structure of headings and regions (landmarks) on all pages.
- Alternative text on images with informative content; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Colour contrast between text and background reviewed in both light and dark sections.
- Respect for the system’s reduced motion preference: decorative animations are automatically disabled if you have this setting enabled.
- Forms with accessible labels and error messages.
- The site is usable at up to 200% zoom and on screens of any size.
Areas we are still working on
- Ongoing review of the alternative text used in the photo gallery and the materials archive.
- Improving keyboard navigation in some custom components (for example, the dropdown in the contact form).
- Documents linked from scientific publications depend on their publishers and may not be fully accessible.

If you come across any accessibility barrier on this site, or need content in an alternative format, please write to us at ecobdlab@gmail.com or via the contact form, stating:
- the page where the problem occurs,
- a brief description of the difficulty,
- and the technology you are using (browser, screen reader, etc.).
We are committed to reviewing every report and fixing issues as quickly as possible.
