Esther Pizarro takes part in the 2nd UEM Symposium – International Day of Women and Girls in Science
Our researcher Esther Pizarro, Principal Investigator (PI) of EcoBD Lab, took part in the 2nd Universidad Europea Symposium – International Day of Women and Girls in Science, an initiative aimed at raising the visibility of women in science and academia.
Esther took part in the round table "Women’s scientific careers: challenges and opportunities", alongside researchers and PhD candidates from different disciplines. During the event, personal and professional experiences were shared, addressing topics such as access to a research career, work–life balance, female role models and the structural challenges that still persist in science.
The symposium became a space for dialogue, inspiration and collective reflection, in line with the values of equality, diversity and responsible research promoted by EcoBD Lab, as well as its commitment to training new generations in science, technology, art and design.
