This text explores the contemporary turn towards living, bio-based materialities, articulating practices that integrate art, design, science and cultural action from critical and situated perspectives. Emerging bio-based materials (MEB) redefine not only formal languages, but also ethical, pedagogical and institutional frameworks in contexts of ecological crisis. Matter is conceived as an active agent and interspecies alliance, promoting experimental approaches and methodologies that span multiple scales. This shift entails aesthetic, political and epistemological transformations, consolidating new practices.
